BOARD MEMBERS

Dr. Onuoha ThankGod is the Chairman / founder of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION. He had his first degree at Anambra State University, Nigeria before proceeding to the University of Benin where He got his Masters and Doctorate degree in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology. His key area of interest is bioremediation, ecotoxicology, Antibiotics resistance and Neglected tropical infectious  diseases of public health importance. He has contributed to so many public health research projects and one of which was the detection of banned pesticides residue in some fruit vegetables sold in Benin City, Nigeria. He has also written many non scientific books, one of which was The Hope of a Child . He has won so many awards in the scientific community and presented seminars and attended conferences locally and Internationally. He is a member of so many research organizations. He has contributed immensely to community development especially in the rural areas.  Currently, he is a Lecturer at Novena University Ogume, Delta State, Nigeria

Mrs Rachel Onuoha is the  secretary/co-founder of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION. She obtained her first degree in Economics from Delta State University , Abraka , Nigeria. She is a professional member of many organizations and a research based fellow with vast interpersonal skills. She is humane and believes in equality. She has served in various community development capacities, one of such service to humanity was the mediation and provision of relief materials like clothes, food and money during the last pandemic called Covid-19  between 2019 -2020. She made sure she covered 6 rural areas, majorly in Benin, Edo State  and Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. She is committed to achieving the foundation’s objectives globally..

Dr. CHIDI KINGSLEY NDU is a dedicated, highly skilled and result-driven biochemist with a Ph.D. from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a strong background in academia,research, and industry. With expertise in biotechnology, ecological impact assessment,toxicology, and environmental biochemistry, he has excelled in lecturing, research, laboratory analysis. He is also passionate about solving complex scientific problems related to cell and molecular biology, pollution, waste management, and public health while mentoring the next generation of scientists. His extensive experience in quality control, higher education, and health consultancy makes him a versatile professional ready to contribute to impactful projects.With over a decade of experience in academia, laboratory research, and environmental toxicology, he also specializes in biochemical research, and innovative teaching methodologies. His expertise spans further to cell and molecular biology, bioremediation, and environmental safety, making him a valuable asset in both academic and industrial research settings. Known for his analytical skills, leadership, and commitment to scientific excellence. As a board member of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION, Dr. Chidiebere kingsley Ndu is passionate about solving Neglected tropical infectious diseases.

Dr. Jonathan Inetianbor is a lecturer in Applied Biosciences at Coventry University Group, UK, with academic qualifications from the University of Benin, Nigeria, University of Glasgow, UK, and a doctoral degree from the University of Nottingham, UK. He is a dedicated researcher and mentor whose work focuses on using molecular biology to combat tropical diseases and antimicrobial resistance. He is also astrong advocate for equitable education and healthcare in low- and middle-income countries. He is committed to driving change through research, outreach, and advocacy bringing hope, healing, and learning opportunities to children in underserved, disease-burdened communities. As one of the board members of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION, Dr. Jonathan Inetianbor is committed to solving Neglected tropical infectious diseases.

Dr. Menberework Chanyalew, PhD, studied Biology (BSc) and Parasitology (MSc) at Addis Ababa University. She has been a researcher at Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) since 2004 and lectured at Dilla and Addis Ababa Universities for over 10 years. She conducted her PhD on innate immunity in cutaneous leishmaniasis at the University of Lübeck, Germany, and AHRI. Currently, she later worked as a postdoctoral researcher under Dr. Abraham, Senior scientist at AHRI, studying immune responses in infectious diseases. Aseffa and an assistant professor at Bahir Dar University. She aims to advance research in immunology, focusing on cutaneous leishmaniasis and tuberculosis vaccine development. Dr. Menberework recently won VALIDATE pump-priming grant (6 round, 2025) and she is in the process of initiating the project. As a board member of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION, Dr. Menberework Chanyalew is committed  to solving Neglected tropical infectious diseases.

Dr. Ugueri Udochukwu is an Environmental and Public Health Microbiologist. A lecturer in the department of Microbiology, University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo. He has more than ten years of experience in teaching, research and supervision of students. Dr. Udochukwu has authored and co-authored several peer reviewed research publications which include his novel research on Plasticizer toxicity and Indigenous herbal hand sanitizer. He is a registered member of the Nigeria Society for Microbiology, a member, international Veterinary and Vaccinology Nextwork and a board member of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION, who is committed to solving Neglected tropical infectious diseases. He is an Editor of UAES Journal of Innovative Sciences and Technology for Development. Dr. Ugueri Udochukwu (Principal Researcher) ː Health impact of micro plastics in the blood and  health risk assessment of the continuous consumption of plastics in food. (2024). Funded by Tertiary Education Trust Fund. (TETFund.) Nigeria. Amountː #1,995,000. (6 Months) Ongoing.

Dr. Wude Mihret Woldemedhin has a PhD in Biomedical Science (Microbial, Molecular and Immunological Field). She is a Senior Scientist at Armauer Hansen Research Institute  at the Department of Bacterial and viral diseases.She has serverd in various capacticies as a  Lecturer of Biology at Addis Ababa University and senior secondary high schools, Guest lecturer of genetic engineering at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) and other Colleges and Laboratory Manager at Ketchene Medhanialem Clinic . She is willing and dedicated to research. As one of the  board members of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION, she will use her wealth of experience to bring lasting solution to neglected tropical infectious diseases in low and middle income countries (LMIC).

Ass. Prof. Pokam Benjamin is a Public Health Microbiologist who obtained his PhD in Medical Microbiology in 2010 at the University of Calabar – Nigeria. He is equally a Medical Laboratory Scientist (A Fellow of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria since the year 2000). He has worked for several years in diagnostic laboratories, and he is currently a lecturer and researcher (Infectious Diseases) at the Department of Medical Laboratory Science of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Buea in Cameroon, and equally serves as Head of service for admissions and records at the same Faculty. The main competency of Ass Prof. Pokam is bacteriology. He has been involved in teaching and research for over 15 years.  His research main interest ranges from the Molecular epidemiology of Mycobacterium tuberculosis/multi-drug resistant tuberculosis and Non tuberculous Mycobacteria to their coinfection with HIV in resource-limited countries, such as Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon located in the Gulf of Guinea – Africa. He is fully involved in « One Health » research and antibiotics resistance development between its three components. He has equally recently develop an interest in using local natural products that could help in the development of vaccine especially against bacteria/mycobacteria. He has published over 60 papers in peer reviewed journals and is involved in community development in his country – Cameroon. He is a board member of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION

Dr. Lucy Obonyo is a researcher, scientist, tutorial fellow, mentor, and champion in antimicrobial resistance. She holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology and possesses a wealth of experience in tuberculosis, HIV, antimicrobial resistance, and medical laboratory sciences. Her key areas of interest include education and research in infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. She is also a peer reviewer for the African Society for Laboratory Medicine and Pan African Medical Journals and has a number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals. As a team leader of the "Must Defeat Superbugs Initiative," she works towards controlling the spread of antimicrobial resistance. Currently, she is a consultant microbiologist with Family Health Options and a tutorial fellow at Kibabii University. Dr. Lucy believes that any contribution in science and education is vital to making a difference in the face of humanity. She is a board member of THANKGOD ONUOHA FOUNDATION.
